On Wednesday, we had a Fraction Tea Party!  Students have been working hard identifying fractions as equal parts of a whole. They have used a variety of activities to practise partitioning wholes and they have also been on the lookout for fractions in the classroom!  Hailey observed that the table groups of 3 tables represent thirds. Ethan noticed that his sandwich was cut in quarters.  It was a fun unit and there is not doubt that the students love fractions!

Students had a chance to visit with the chickens and hold them in the classroom.  They practised their skills of observation by recording information about the chicks in the brooder.

On Friday, we participated with the entire school in cleaning the school grounds as part of "Clean the Capital."
